Alyx Grabasch
B.Hsc, M.Clin.Chiro
All too often it’s the practitioner who receives all the information about the patient, yet the patient receives very little information about the practitioner.
My name is Alyx Grabasch and I grew up in the country town of Bendigo, Victoria. Originally wanting to study Law but after working for 5 years after school in a law firm, I realised I wanted to dedicate my life to something more and to truly help people improve their health. For so many people, body and mental stress is a main contributor to a loss of quality of life. I moved to Melbourne and earned my Bachelor of Health Science (Chiropractic) and Masters in Clinical Chiropractic degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute Of Technology (RMIT University). After 5 years of study, I graduated with a distinction in 2012 and received a personal award for my academic achievements. In early 2013, I moved to NSW to further pursue my Chiropractic career.
I have been living on the Central Coast since 2013, residing in Blue Bay and have been serving the Sydney region as a Chiropractor for 6 years in 2 wonderful practices. I still currently reside at a great practice in Hornsby. I am a proud coastie and love paddle boarding, exploring our beautiful beaches and anything active!
I was first adjusted and introduced to Chiropractic very early in life by a chiropractic relative. I developed a scoliotic curve during adolescence and the positive impact Chiropractic had during this time changed my life and then shaped my future. Since then, my younger brother and sister have also become chiropractors and I have other relatives currently completing their Chiropractic degree. It is fair to say that there is no shortage of chiropractors on Christmas day if you need an adjustment!
I have completed various third world mission trips including Cambodia and the Philippines. I worked along side other like minded professionals such Doctors, Dentists, Physiotherapists and Nurses. Our mission was to provide basic health and teach adequate hygiene skills to those in rural communities. It was incredibly rewarding to witness the benefits of Chiropractic to those that don’t have access to what we do here in Australia. To live in Australia and have a freedom to choose Chiropractic as part of your health care is a wonderful privilege.
Professionally outside of University, I have undergone further study and gained my certification in Sacro-occipital Technique (SOT) which focuses on the relationship between the Sacrum (base of the spine) and the Occiput (base of the skull) and has a strong focus on Cranial (skull) therapy.
I welcome people from all ages and points of concern. I take a particular interest in treating families. I have had the honor of working with families as they grow and triumph through every challenge, whether it be a sporting injury, growth spurt or emotional peaks and troughs. I often ask the question, ‘What do you wish you could do if your body limitations weren’t an issue?’. If overcoming some of those restrictions helps you to ‘get back into surfing’ or 'having body freedom to actively play with your kids’ then its successes like this is what fuels my fire as a practitioner.
I look forward to meeting you all and joining the team at Platinum Chiropractic. I have worked hard in Sydney and look forward to bringing my knowledge to my local community. My focus is to educate people about how truly great their bodies are designed to feel!

Becky Harding
Chiropractic Assistant
I was born and raised on the Central Coast however have spent 2 years living in the Sunshine ski village in Banff, Canada. I enjoy cooking, fitness and all things adventure (Bushwalking, rock climbing, and Kayaking just to name a few). I studied outdoor education and have spent most of my career encouraging children and adults to try new things and build skills they never thought they’d have.
Before joining Platinum Chiropractic I was working in the fitness industry and found a new love of wanting to help people with their health journeys. I started here as a patient and I have seen how chiropractic care has made a huge difference to my life and my families and I am excited to share this passion with everyone.
